Posted February 19, 20196 yr comment_568772 Hi all, Below are two pics from The 240Z Guild's 1971 Datsun 240z Series One (#19769) with 64k miles still wearing its original factory Code 905 Monte Carlo Red paint. As you can see these pics show the Yellow Inspection Paint Dabs From The Assembly Line on part of the suspension. When did the factory start using the yellow inspection paint? Starting in 10/69? Or when? What areas of the 240Z had Yellow Inspection Paint Dabs? Were there other colors used in other areas of the car? Here is a link to the facebook post on the car showing the car inside and out for those who want to look at the original factory paint job with no factory undercoating. Thanks, Brad Edited February 19, 20196 yr by hiyabrad Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61629-yellow-inspection-paint-dabs-from-the-assembly-line/ Share on other sites
February 19, 20196 yr comment_568782 Yes, the yellow dabs are on the suspension from 10/69. One of my cars has red paint on the front in one area. Of course, the springs had paint dabs. All of this has been discussed in the archives. Nice looking car.
