Ahhh... Inspection Lamp 26740-89904.  Listed as optional in the North American parts catalog, it shows standard in the Nissan Fairlady Z catalog and optional for the 'dx' version/model.  The bulb is 12v 8w (26232-30000) and the switch is 26745-89900.  There are two versions of the mounting base; one with a slotted flange and another with two mounting holes like this one.  I believe this version precedes the version with the slot.  Very nice!

Actually, the one on my car (original) has the slotted foot, those I have pulled from later models were all closed foot.  I've always thought the slotted foot versions were the earliest.  Also, my FSM stipulates a 3W bulb - I fudged and installed a new 3.7W.
