Posted March 12, 20196 yr comment_570771 Curious to know what the original factory finish was on the exhaust manifold and the heat shield between the exhaust manifold and carbs. Thanks. March 12, 20196 yr comment_570772 My recollection of the exhaust manifold on my car was no finish - just bare casting (that quickly rusted!). I have heat shields from both pre-heat riser and post-heat riser. They appear to be clear zinc finish. April 2, 20196 yr comment_572412 4 minutes ago, zspert said: Hoover, Your left motor mount bracket should be engine blue while your right bracket should be satin black. Interestingly I just went out to take a look. Mine was painted as stated, some spots on the left bracket the blue was chipped it was black below. So it looks like they mounted the bracket to the engine before painting the engine because I found blue paint in the seem between the rubber mount also but not between the bracket and the mount. Also no paint between the mount and the block. Hope that helps someone Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61806-1970-original-factory-finish-of-exhaust-manifold-and-heat-shield/#findComment-572412 Share on other sites
