HI ALL,

just have to tell you all 'cause I am SOOOO exited!

Please all you Aussie members, let some of the others guess this one 'cause it will be way too easy for you guys.

Well the new car to join my fleet is (going to give you clues now) ...

Nicknamed Godzilla because it dominated the Group A Touring Car Championship, winning 29 races it contested, before the rules were changed to basically stop that model car from ever race again.

Priced at AUD$110,000 when new, its makers had to sell 100 cars locally in order to homologate the car for racing. (there are many more sold around the world, but not officially in Australia, only the 100, all the others are grey imports)

Mine is one of those 100 locally delivered ones, highly collectable and rare, will be collecting it mid week providing all goes well. It has full service history and never been crashed or a single panel repainted, it is just immaculate! (I intend to keep it that way, original and immaculate, that is where the value is...)

Well, good luck for all those that are guessing, and the winner gets and ice-cream cone.

I'll be a good sport about it I'll just say I know what it is and your a lucky boy. I wouldn't mind a baby Godzilla that would be a blast but there fairly expensive.

Your even luckier getting one of the official ones, so that means it's the early body style too.

So what are you gonna drive everyday? the new aquisition or the 240z???

:classic:.

Congratulations, I'm sure George will be impressed.

Cuong! We anit back-woods dummies! We're Nissan fans! I got to ride in one, once. how lucky is that!

Seriously, that's a beauty. even without seen the photos, I'm envious. With the Rice-Boy culture out here, the Sklyline, especially that model, is of legendary status. Deservedly so, in this case.

Lucky you! Obviously a Nguyen-Win situation!

I'm curious, how much extra $$$ is an Aussie delivered one compared to the import ones?

(you can just give a rough figure if you dotn want to disclose the price you paid for yours)

Gunmetal grey is a nicer colour though... LOL :tapemouth

And once again we are reminded of the tall poppy syndrome the Aussies posses. I now hang my head in shame.

Congratulations Cuong. I'm sure you'll enjoy this new car.

Hi everyone,

thanks for your comments, I am wrapped that I've got the opportunity to get this world class motor car. Right car at the wrong time, but.. I HAD to have it! (I will be forever in debt!)

Mike, I WILL finish the yellow zed, and no, I will not sell the car, ever.

Will post pics of the new car as I will pick it up on Monday afternoon.

Sorry I know this is a z site, (but I thought more than a few of you guys would appreciate the GTR as well)
