May 15, 20195 yr comment_575501 I remember some discussion a couple of years back about mounts not lining up Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/62002-swapping-to-f54p90/?&page=4#findComment-575501 Share on other sites
May 15, 20195 yr comment_575502 Same problem with the mounts here too. I ground mine down to a half circle looking pin. There's enough in the hole to keep them in place. From what i read the mounts now are all universal and work fine on 280s. 240s need some massaging. Mine were Beck Arnleys. Good luck. May 15, 20195 yr comment_575507 Which parts are not aligning? I left all of my nuts and bolts loose and a pointed chisel as a drift pin to align the motor to mount holes to get the bolts through. My problem was the motor to mount alignment. The locating pin to mount stud distance was fine. May 15, 20195 yr Author comment_575509 i didnt see any alignment issue (not to say there isnt another issue). Right now my comment is regarding the pilot stud. It is to far from the bolt. I probably should have removed the washers for the picture. May 15, 20195 yr comment_575514 File that end off that doesn't go into the hole on the cars side. O into a D and they'll drop in. If I'm thinking what you're saying. If not I'm arse-suming. May 15, 20195 yr comment_575516 I remember some of those threads. I think that my motor mounts are Anchor brand, from Oreilly auto. There are others. Brand was a question. Mine had screwed up threads on the studs. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/62002-swapping-to-f54p90/?&page=4#findComment-575516 Share on other sites
