Posted April 18, 20195 yr comment_573532 Gents, I just ran across this baby while browsing the web for various things tonight. The car is a 1970 and the listing is showing as a 1971... The car has the rear vents under the hatch and 240z emblems on the side pillars so I know it's an early series car. I can't quite tell how good of shape she's in from the photos, but, it does look like some work needs to be done. Seller is asking $28,950 and appears to be located in California (from the plates). Listing agent is in NY. I've grabbed the photos and listing details here. Not sure if any of you are looking for an investment like this, but, it may be worth a look. No affiliation with the club. April 18, 20195 yr comment_573543 A 12/70 build dates makes it a 71 model year in most North American jursidictions. Aug (08) is the change poin, if it's month 8 To 12, it's model year is one more than the build date year. Not sure why we keep getting mixed up on build date vs Model Year. And yes, this does appear to be a great car at a decent price. If anything, this is going to be a highly desirable car, depending on the true condition of course. April 18, 20195 yr comment_573549 This car has been doe sale for a couple of months....on CL in February for example. Looks like a good car, but the paint looks like robin's egg blue. If so, is probably hurting it. It's not an original color, and not an appealing color either. April 18, 20195 yr Author comment_573551 Yeah the paint has me a little on edge.. I can't really tell if it's a baby blue or if it's just a poor set of photos of a white car (images are overexposed). Seems like a rush Maaco paint job and some of the parts aren't sitting on the car correctly. Gas tank is dented pretty bad and it describes the engine as an L28. The right buyer would likely want to do a rotisserie resto ... I still cringe when I see the door speakers. What a shame to cut big holes on those door panels.. ?
