I’ll post the bill once I get the car back. And then I’ll likely put the car up for sale or on BaT given how hot the market is for these cars, and how expensive the Z is ultimately going to be to maintain over time since I can’t do any of the work myself. And then perhaps I’ll buy my twelfth Miata. Yes.. parts prices are allready going up ( are pretty high allready ), but that's for most classic cars from the late 60's, early to mid 70's... The older they become, the more costly to maintain. I have a rebuild E31 head laying around, but I notice nobody is willing to pay for it what it's worth.. And I am not giving it away for free either, so she can remain on the shelf Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/62036-my-mecum-purchase-1972-240z/?&page=7#findComment-579366 Share on other sites

I was also thinking of giving it to my Porsche dealership on consignment. MR2 Spyder? Mind sharing what year you bought and what the going price was? I"ve been looking for > 2003 and up. Though the oil consumption issues see to hit all the years from what I can tell. They scare me too, but there are so many replacement 2ZZ engines available if something does happen. The car does need more bhp after all.
