F54 block has this adapter sticking out The side. Can this just be removed and the filter installed as per the regular manner (straight to the block)? It unscrews, however the filter fastener is in the adapter knuckle.

Pretty sure you need #14.  Looks like they're still out there.

ZH, i was hoping that was the answer. The Courtesy nissan link doesnt seem to be working. #14 looks like threaded pipe.

If you Google the part number you'll probably find a few sellers.  Your local Nissan dealer might get it for you with free shipping.

 

courtesy has a replacement. You should be able to get it from a local dealer

Sometimes the CZCC site will take a pasted link and sometimes it won't.  It's not consistent.  Looks like it didn't this time.  Have to click the little chain link, then paste, then save.

Don't even tell them the car right off, just run the part number. The youngsters like to argue what your asking for. My experience locally. Next day pick up if they have one close by usually.

Our local Nissan dealer and club sponsor will look them up if you give them the part number, but they aren't good at finding the numbers on the old cars. Usually takes couple days to get. Let me know if you want help.

Also keep in mind that oil cooler adapter can be a sought after part. So put it on a shelf or see if there is a buyer who wants it. Just don't scrap it
