April 23, 20195 yr comment_574067 I follow a guy on Instagram who was attempting that swap, but just sold the car. The engine looked like it actually fit in the bay pretty well. I was surprised. Should make a great noise if they manage to do it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/62051-autoweek-merc-12-in-a-280/#findComment-574067 Share on other sites

May 14, 20195 yr comment_575434 Dry sump? The builders are engineers, so they probably have a trick solution planned. Autoweek’s the only source I’ve seen on the project. December 4, 20195 yr comment_588703  That's quite a snootfull alright. Ought to have some interesting handling qualities. Especially with those wheels and tires... Takes me back to '64 Chebbies roaming the barrios back in the eighties. Of course, it's obvious from the lack of air cleaners that it wasn't meant to actually be driven. Looks good standing still tho.  Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/62051-autoweek-merc-12-in-a-280/#findComment-588703 Share on other sites
