So BBK kit by ZCarGarage is literally amazing. Honestly it’s the best stopping power of any car I have ever driven. Pedal feel is great. Clears everything nicely. Wants to throw me through the window. I’m not an expert, but I think the bias feels amazing.
E-brake setup works well but has to be set. Also you have to move the e-brake springs to a lower mount.  I decided I wanted this setup for now.
I want to park her on a steep hill and see how the e-brake holds

I’m not seeing the ebrake caliper in that pic...

Okay, as nice as it is, I don't think I can justify $3000 for a what amounts to a very nice, and by all means excellent, but fairly simple brake kit. Would like to see some more details of what Jason240Z has come up with, and what it cost him.

Actually, that does not sound like a bad price.  I have Stoptechs on the front of my Mustang Race Car.  You see them advertised routinely for $2,200.  So to get front and back in the kit with everything included, that does not sound out of wack to me.

Stoptechs are awesome brakes.  I didn't know they were available for a Z.

Yeah, the classic bronco world (i own a 1977) is totally more expensive for all parts.  All brake kits are in the 2-3k range.

Stoptech and Zcar got together and designed up this package.

So last night I could remove the rear wheel lug nuts with just the parking brake on and the rear end jacked up! Now that is something I never thought I was going to be able to do!

Old thread, but, I bit the bullet and bought the ZCar Garage big brake kit!  Reasons:

  • My brakes were due for work, and I wanted something better.
  • I've had to really jam on the brakes a few times in freeway traffic jams, wondering if I'm going to be able to stop in time.
  • Wanted setup that would fit my 15" PanaSports.
  • Wasn't in the mood to piece together various parts to get a working system.
  • Wanted something that's engineered for the Z.
  • Well, they do look awesome too.

Looks like they've kept the Wilwood parking brake setup.  I've got it installed, and the car is back on the ground.  Today I need to find an isolated road somewhere where I can bed the brake pads in and "season" the rotors.

I'll be posting a YouTube video of my install process once I'm done editing it.
