Posted June 2, 20195 yr comment_576815 I just ordered a pair of FutoFab CV axles for my green R180 diff Z. Anyone install a set of these? If so, any words of wisdom on your installation would be much appreciated. June 7, 20195 yr Author comment_577065 Well here they are.......... Doesn’t look too difficult. I’ll take some pics of the installation.....maybe the Stroker motor won’t hurt these babies! June 7, 20195 yr comment_577078 I might be wrong - but get ready for some clunking in the rear. There seems to be excessive radial movement in the joint - slop. Supposedly these axles were engineered more specifically for 4wd vehicles. I’m not going to pretend I’m an engineer , but there are some unhappy folks with these. Now I’ve put them thru some serious stress testing , but my HP isn’t to your level. Just today I was under the car cleaning and inspecting and couldn’t find see anything wrong . Initially when I bought these the instructions were okay, but had the wrong torque value on the Allen bolts and I stripped one. After a phone call I got it straightened out. Safety wiring is a bitch . Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/62266-futofab-cv-axles/#findComment-577078 Share on other sites

June 7, 20195 yr comment_577111 I've heard CV joints are a good upgrade. Good luck with the install, Guy. Do they have other colors besides orange? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/62266-futofab-cv-axles/#findComment-577111 Share on other sites
June 7, 20195 yr Author comment_577123 Thanks Mike. I guess a can of black paint will make color choice an option. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/62266-futofab-cv-axles/#findComment-577123 Share on other sites
