Posted May 20, 200321 yr comment_38097 Perhaps a problem?I recently bough two new ball joints for my, august ’70, 240Z part number 40160-A8625.http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=40160-A8625&Category_Code=s30_nismo_z-steering-knucklesProblem is however, the thread has changed! The old one has M14 x 1.5 and the new has M14 x 125!!Does this ring a bell to anybody? It’s very hard to find that kind of nut, specially a crown? nut.It would be a great help to get the Nissan part number. May 20, 200321 yr comment_38112 Just replaced mine last month. They SHOULD come with NEW nuts for mounting so it should not be an issue. For 95 bucks, they darn well better have new mounting hardware in the box!Mine came from www.nissan-autoparts.com/ for $33 each and had all new hardware.... May 20, 200321 yr Author comment_38134 Not at the Nissan dealer!!!! Everything there has an number. I asked Courtesy for a price because we needed 4 ball joints and they where cheaper as in Holland. But shipping to Holland came to $60. So therefore I bought it over here. With out nut!!! May 21, 200321 yr comment_38167 I checked my spare and it came with nut.Sounds like you may have been sold an incomplete part. Why not return it and have the dealer get the complete unit? May 21, 200321 yr comment_38187 Ah yes, you're quite right on this. However as all my zeds are 73+ it's never affected me.So whats the story pre73 owners, do you need to have the hole re- reamed or can you apply a bit of muscle and tighten them down without the reaming.... May 23, 200321 yr Author comment_38556 Nissan in Europe price each is 120 euro ex taxes = $140. Courtesy could deliver them for $85 each. But the shipping came at $60, so not worthwhile. Still a lot of money Consider you still have to pay import tax, normal tax? Above your cheap USA price!
