240ZX Posted May 22, 2003 Share #2 Posted May 22, 2003 Give Dave Rebello a call in northern California. I don't have his phone number on hand, but you can get it from his website. He modifies early SUs to 50mm and may have the info you are looking for. I had a set done by him for my L28 and as I remember the needles were hand profiled. Bruce Woolmore Posted May 31, 2003 Share #3 Posted May 31, 2003 I put a set on my last 240Z (L28 engine) off a 4.2 XJ6, and found the stock needles and seats from some parts carbs that I also got were pretty close, much better than the Jag set - they were from a Rover 2000TC, but cant remember the year, sorry - think they were the AAA profile. Dan Baldwin Posted July 23, 2003 Share #8 Posted July 23, 2003 I had a pair on my 3.1 liter. They did improve the cars urge down the straights at Watkins Glen and Mosport. But NOTHING like what I got when I went to 45mm 3x2s. Not even close.
