Posted September 26, 20195 yr comment_584750 I am in the process of getting my insurance (the geco co) to pay for a Nissan seal so far with little success. They don't like authorizing oem parts. Have $250 deductible, so I will eat the windshield cost but would like them to pickup the cost of the seal & install. I have a new unused precision seal I purchased a year ago. Does anyone have direct experience with using the precision seal? How the fitment was and how satisfied you were with it. September 26, 20195 yr comment_584751 Jim - I have the Precision seal but it was purchased about 2010 when I did my resto. The installer had a lot of experience with S30's, had no difficulties getting my OE windshield back in. The SS trim went in without problems. There was one lower corner where the seal did not fill completely - a dab of sealant handled that. September 26, 20195 yr Author comment_584752 Thanks Jim, that is good to hear. If its good enough for your beautiful gold cup car, should be ok for my copper cup car .... +1 for the precision seal Other than the small problem area, I assume no sealant was used for the install, is that correct? September 26, 20195 yr comment_584754 Altho I have not specifically lifted the edges to inspect for sealant, to the best of my knowledge none was used. I wanted to watch the install but the shop had strict rules about no customers in the work area.
