Posted November 3, 20195 yr comment_586821 California car with original matching-numbers engine that looks to be very clean and unmolested. November 3, 20195 yr comment_586827 Looks like a decent, relatively unmolested car. $12,700 bid with 6 days left, so it may not go cheap. Remarkable that the dash is uncracked. Two obvious areas that will need attention (or not): Battery tray area - hope there's enough good inner-fender metal left to get by with a clean-up and re-spray Passenger-side floor board - another victim of bad jacking practice Of course, you never really know what's going on in the dogleg areas behind the doors. $4700 for an engine rebuild? 38500 miles? November 3, 20195 yr comment_586828 He's going to get a good penny for that, it really doesn't need restoring, just the battery tray and maybe new D/S seat foam and covers. November 3, 20195 yr comment_586838 Nice looking car. Over $13K now. The firewall stamp looks odd with the "1"'s that look like "L"'s I've not seen them like that the last 1 is up high too. The ID tag looks like it is missing the last 1. Maybe just the angle. The license plate frame lead me to a repair shop in L.A. They have an electric Z, and are selling it for $28k.  http://operationz.net  Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/63086-solid-71-series-i-240z-on-ebay/#findComment-586838 Share on other sites

I agree - this SoCal car should go for a good money. I also like that it's a no reserve auction.  Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/63086-solid-71-series-i-240z-on-ebay/#findComment-586954 Share on other sites
