spunkysandoval Posted May 25, 2003 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2003 I'm confused on how to hook my batter up. Maybe someone could give me some pointers. I have a photo attached.
spunkysandoval Posted May 25, 2003 Author Share #2 Posted May 25, 2003 Which wire goes to which terminal. And what do I do with the extra wire coming from the battery that is not hooked up to the solenoid. Is that bellhousing bolt on the left a good place to put it? JEFF Posted May 25, 2003 Share #3 Posted May 25, 2003 Hook the negitive cable to the top bolt the holds the starter to the bellhousing. hook the positive cable up to the positive terminal on the starter solinoid.- Jeff

spunkysandoval Posted May 25, 2003 Author Share #5 Posted May 25, 2003 Thanks Jeff! I got it all hooked up and it cranks over just fine. I can't wait to start it. I have to torque the drife shaft flange bolts and then put in some transmission fluid. Once again, I appreciate your help very much.Isaac

Rob Posted May 25, 2003 Share #7 Posted May 25, 2003 You just pour it down the dipstick hole (You'll need a funnel)

Therefor all I need to know is if yours is manual or automatic. If you have a manual then you will fill the trans via squeeze bottle. The fill hole is the full level, fill to the hole. If your trans is auto fill it through the fill level dipstick tube.- Jeff
spunkysandoval Posted May 26, 2003 Author Share #9 Posted May 26, 2003 The transmission is a manual 4 speed. Where is the fill level hole located?? Is it on the side? There is a few different plugs there.
JEFF Posted May 27, 2003 Share #10 Posted May 27, 2003 It's on the passenger side about 1/2 way op the side. It will be a pipe plug with a square socket hole - your ratchet will fit in it to loosen it.- Jeff
spunkysandoval Posted May 27, 2003 Author Share #11 Posted May 27, 2003 Thanks agian! I found it, I found it. Tomorrow I will borrow some torque wrenches from school and finish torqueing everything down and try to tune my carbs to match my new cam. Or maybe I'll just take it to get tuned somewhere that has a dyno. Any who thanks a bunchisaac
