Posted May 27, 200321 yr comment_38875 So I'm replacing most of my ignition system and I noticed victoria british sells bosch spark plugs, not NGK. Should I go for the Bosch? If NGKs are better (they're what I've always used), does anyone know where to find them cheap on the net - especially V-power or platinum ones? May 27, 200321 yr comment_38891 I have found it alot cheaper and better performance wise. fif you just buy the normal NGK ones, and just replace them everytime you change your oil so every 3-5k or so... as they are only $3-$4 a spark plug, i change them when i do the regular service on the car... May 27, 200321 yr comment_38903 BP6ES for 240's and RoadstersB6ES for 280'sThere's no beating the designed plug. I think Nissan started with the plug and built the engine around it.If you buy them from Nissan, You get the added bonus of NGK-Nissan joint packaging (oh the little things that amuse my little mind). They come in boxes of 10. 22401-W8916 BP6ES22401-E6810 B6ESThe old boxes are great. The NGK sunburst, with a big plug, on a background of Red, White and Blue Nissan Motors logos.Having several Datsuns, I keep them in stock. I think they're less than $2.00 a piece. May 27, 200321 yr Author comment_38914 Hmm... so is there any place on the net with particularly good deals on the BP6ES line? Also, does anyone have any opinion of ignition coils? I'm replacing the one in my 240 and wondering if there's a better one than the standard bosch model. Thanks :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/6341-good-ngks-cheap/#findComment-38914 Share on other sites

May 27, 200321 yr Author comment_38920 Oh well yeah, that's a totally sweet deal. I'm just only finding platinum plugs on the net, except for Courtesy Nissan, which has good prices, but charges more for shipping than for all the plugs combined! I guess I'm looking for a good vendor that may not exist. I may just have to bite the bullet and get 'em from them. Not to sound cheap or nothin!
