Could someone tell me what went in this threaded hole?  I don't remember anything up top but it could have been the York's evaporator that was in front of the radiator.  Thanks for any replies.  Cliff

I really don't think anything did.  I always assumed it was needed during manufacturing.  Anyone???

I concur.  I've owned a number of Zs and none had anything screwed into that hole.

I'm curious now. My '77 doesn't have one.

Maybe Z cars without the hole are worth $310,000.00 ?

That hole is critical to establishing the perfect front/rear weight ratio of the Z.  ?

I guess my hole is further up the evolutionary ladder as it has no threads ?

That's a big hole!  Too many car shows?  

Mine has that too, no threads. I'm going with @87mj idea of manufacturing process on the 240's.  Thanks for playing.
