Hi all, does anyone know if the long indention on the top of the rear Valence for a 240z is necessary for the bumper to fit? I don't have a rear bumper and I have a Valence that does not have an indention, it has been smoothed. Was the indention necessary for the bumper to clear? 

 

 

The bumper actually conceals this indentation.  No worries - proceed with your install.

The indention is there so it will meet the subframe rail. There is a step in there on the subframe that aligns with that indention. There is a row of spot welds through the bottom of the indention

The indent also adds strength to the piece.
