I’m not too picky.

Negra Modelo.

Asahi.

Tsing Tao.

Stella Artois.

Heineken.

Magic Hat.

Shocktop.

Any of those might do.

Put 'em all in a cooler and bang them around on the open water, labels rubbed off  and they're the same to me. Now sitting down with a collared shirt on and I can tell the difference. Spin the bottle and Corona or Modelo fits good with what I eat. Heineken with a rib eye. My liquor days are done and over with.

Back to the covid shot. It's been 12 hours and it feels like my 5 year old nephew frogged me on the arm. Mosquito bites are worse in my experience. A yellow jacket would be like a head on collision compared to this.

Got first dose of Moderna yesterday, had a headache most of the day.

My pops was saying if you go to Safeway/CVS/Walgreens before they stop doing injections for the day they usually let anyone get a vaccine, no appointment needed. That’s how he was able to get his.

I was under the impression that the blood clots that were seen with J&J effected women only, similar to the effects of hormonal birth-control. My girlfriend ended up getting a J&J shot the day before the media broke the story, she’s been doing ok. She also tagged along with someone who had an appointment at the end of the day and was able to get it.

oh ya I saw this super cool truck on the way to the appointment. I like the bed cover, looks like an old military vehicle.

Oh beer! If you see this try it: might have to go to a wine store or a liqueur store, it’s an April only thing. I know it says ~11.7 alc/Vol but it’s butter smooth.

The statistics on the JJ are 1 in a million.  Which is a pretty small decimal point.  But I agree it should be removed from the market.  We already have enough Antivaxer fake news spreading around.  I don't want to add to it.  My area has had the opportunity for vaccines for over a month, I have 20% of my employees take it.  So herd immunity won't be an option in our area for a while or ever. Then Tucker decided to spread a bunch of misinformation, which also didn't help.

From recent news coverage it sounds like annual booster shots may be a good idea.  If that's the case, I'm very much in. That makes sense to me. I get a yearly flu shot anyway, and two sticks are no more trouble than one.  That said, I salute Racer X for going through what he has.  No fun at all.

First of all... don't believe everything you see on the news.  The media is a one way street and I trust them less and less these days.  Second of all, the stupidity around the vaccine is just insane (not anyone here, I'm pointing more at the media).  The reason they have to give booster shots is because they have NOT isolated the genome necessary for a real vaccine and will continue to provide booster shots for all the variants.  Both the CDC and FDA websites have a ton of data on this subject, but you have to dig for it.  In fact, did you know that all COVID vaccines currently being used are not on the FDA's approved list?  They are experimental vaccines under a preliminary "emergency use authorization"...   I'm not a medical professional, nor am I giving advice.  I'm simply supplying a different point of view from the media and all the hype going on.

https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/vaccines/emergency-use-authorization-vaccines-explained

Here's a list of approved vaccines:  https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/vaccines/vaccines-licensed-use-united-states

What I am really worried about is using an experimental drug and having side effects.  I'm not so sure my insurance company covers health conditions caused by experimental/unapproved vaccines.  I'd rather take my chances than trust the political rush around this virus.  Do your own research and take the necessary steps to be ABSOLUTELY sure you want to be doing this.  You don't want to get stuck into a situation where a vaccine is pulled from the shelves (https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/joint-cdc-and-fda-statement-johnson-johnson-covid-19-vaccine).

Good luck and stay safe, my friends.

Mike

I heard Tony Fauci talk about the possibility of booster shots within the last 24 hours. He said they should know whether they are advisable by the end of summer. IMO there is no better authority in the world. If he says do it, I'm doing it.

I hope you're joking...  Fauci is a slave to his own greed.  I lost faith in that guy a long time ago.

Tony Fauci is greedy? That's news to me.

Yeah man, this guy is controlling the destiny of our country...  power.  Although some of his investments in biotech are debatable, he's still floundered around on his public decisions over the last year.  This kind of thing shouldn't be in the hands of a single man.  Take a look at his entire (news worthy) history here:  https://www.theepochtimes.com/t-anthony-fauci
