In all my years living in various parts of Canada, I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.  Thanks for sharing.

BTW, snow-packing in and around air inlets can be one of the most challenging aspects of vehicle design and development.  It's really difficult to simulate properly in a test chamber and climatic wind tunnel and field testing can be a hit-and-miss affair.

The testing in Canada in 1969 revealed what you say ?  The rear vents would ice shut.
