Posted May 9, 20204 yr comment_599122 My late 1971 240Z has a vented hood. I have an opportunity to swap someone for a non-vented hood. In your opinion, should I swap? I like the idea of keeping things original when I can, but there may be advantages (cosmetic or mechanical) to keeping the 280Z hood. May 9, 20204 yr comment_599134 The non-vented hood is of course correct on an original 240z. But if the car is a going to be a resto-mod, then do whichever you prefer. I have both hoods for my 72 project. I haven't decided either - I might paint them both before deciding ....
