Banned on Ebay

I was selling this on Ebay till the Ebay Police came along.

Dont get me wrong I understand why they will not let me sell it anymore but another Ebay power seller is selling-shirts with basically the same logo.

He basically has a store full of illegal homemade shirts. I guess it is ok for him since he is a power seller.

I plan on taking out the 240z and putting in an image of a Z car. That should get them off my back.

According to Ebay they said it was the use of the logos.

My guess is someone saw it and was jealous that it was selling like crazy last week and reported it.

I dont sell them on shirts just the design on a cd and you can put it on whatever you want.

Did they say why they were stopping you from selling your item? I'm assuming that the art is something that you created, right? If it is the Datsun logo's that they are concerned about then the other seller should be stopped also. But, I'm suspecting (and I certainly could be wrong) that it is the eBay MORAL police that are the issue here. Not that I think there is anything wrong with your product. I actually like the design.

BTW, I bought one of the other guy's shirts and it is very nice. I'm glad I took the chance on buying it.

Yes I made the design and this is the link they emailed me so I would take from reading this policy page that they meant any use of the logos at all.

If they really enforced this stuff 10% of items on Ebay violate these policies.

I am waiting to see if they do anything about the guy you bought the shirt from. The shirts are obviously homemade as well.

Well, since the zapped you, they should do the same to him. No difference between the two IMHO. HOWEVER, I wish they'd leave you both alone. There SHOULD be bigger issues for eBay to deal with than this! Like actual fraud by buyers and sellers who decieve other eBayers. They are being a royal PITA!

Man, if thats what they're worried is wrong with the world today it makes you wonder!! Nice design, I'd buy one (if I wasn't half way across the world and a pov arse student!)...don't they have better things to do?

If you take Datsun and 240Z off it and replace it with a picture of a Z you won't have any trouble.

Ebay did to you the same thing CafePress did to our store. They are worried about trademark infringement using the 240Z logo which was trademarked by Nissan and the Datsun name would be a clear violation.

They can't stop anyone from using the letter Z or an image of a vehicle.

It is kinda odd how it just seem to be certain people who are getting the short end of the stick though, not only by Ebay but by others as well.

That looks just as good, though for MY taste, I'd prefer a different color car. ( but I see how the current color works with the blue on the flag)
