Posted June 5, 20204 yr comment_600795 I have my 240Z in for paint and the fenders are off. I see a fender liner (rubber seal) on Z Car Depot. Do you all use them when installing your front fenders? If so, the clips that hold the seal are $6.50 each and you need 12 of them. Is there an alternative for the clip? https://zcardepot.com/collections/gaskets-grommets/products/fender-to-body-inner-rubber-seal-240z-260z-280z https://zcardepot.com/products/fender-liner-clip-oem-240z-260z-280z-70-78?variant=19274988060785 Any help is appreciated. June 5, 20204 yr comment_600826 It snaps over the ridge leaving a bulb on top to cushion the fender. Super simple. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64114-fender-liner-advice/#findComment-600826 Share on other sites
June 6, 20204 yr Author comment_600830 @wheee! I hate to beat a dead horse, but I see the foam tape as a solid piece of foam with one sticky side. I don't see how it "snaps over the ridges". Do I cut a slit in the tape to allow it to snap over the ridges. Can you explain a bit more please. Also, will this work? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Frost-King-3-4-in-x-5-16-in-x-10-ft-Black-Rubber-Foam-Weatherseal-Tape-R534H/202262324 Thanks! June 6, 20204 yr comment_600833 Sorry, the foam tape goes on top of the flat fender supports. The bulb gasket goes over the fender gasket pinch weld. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64114-fender-liner-advice/#findComment-600833 Share on other sites

June 20, 20204 yr Author comment_601516 This ended up being the trim I used for the fender liner seal. It fit snug on the pinch weld and the seal fit perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085NHLTS4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 uxcell Trim Seal with Top Bulb, EPDM Rubber Seal Channel Edge Protector Sheet, Fits 0.5-3mm Edge 3Meters/9.84Ft, 1.22inch Height Edited June 20, 20204 yr by HappyZ Removed Pic Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64114-fender-liner-advice/#findComment-601516 Share on other sites
