July 6, 20204 yr comment_602217 Many Z's were fitted with 42DCOE's back in the day due to this book's recommendation: The carbs were purchased new rather than taken from cars. July 6, 20204 yr Author comment_602218 . Back to topic, are the textbooks' suggested numbers ok? My jetting doesn't entirely line up with the books, nor the stock carb build configuration. Yes, I saw that reference but didn't think it was right for my 3.0L L28. July 6, 20204 yr comment_602219 Books will get you in ball park but you need to test. I'm working on triple SK racing now on a 240z L24 and they work better with smaller idle and fuel than on a Weber 40DCOE. 45 vs 50 idle and 115 vs 120 main Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64214-whats-your-experience-with-textbook-settings-for-webers/?&page=2#findComment-602219 Share on other sites
July 6, 20204 yr Author comment_602220 With my stroker kit it'll never be the smoothest idle, which I like.I'll use the books as a starting point, once I'm confident in my fueling.
