I just added this 73 to my collection. Can anyone provide any insight on the interior? My thoughts are to take the interior back to something period correct.

That is period correct. LOL

Just tacky. Great looking car though. I'd leave it if it was mine. There's some interior colors in there somewhere.

Looks like butterscotch with cloth inserts. I've read that was popular in the hot/sunny states.

There was some discussion a while back on this forum about seat inserts like that and it was summized that in hotter climate areas, like Arizona, it was not uncommon for dealers to do the seat treatments like that to new cars.   It seems that it was easier to sell a car that didn't fry a customers a ss with vinyl in the Summer months. It does look like cut pile carpeting though.?

LOL    What he said!

Somebody put a lot of effort into that interior. I thought I could deal with it until I saw the e-brake boot. Then I decided that I couldn't.  Haha!!

The rest of the car (other than the choice of interior) looks great!  So what are the two switches under the aftermarket console cover?

I like everything but the e-brake boot.

That should be made with some nice leather, along with a matching shifter boot.

The car looks sweet too, especially the floor. Makes me want a frosty mug of root beer.
