interchangable parts for zed

Recommended Posts

I recently spoke to another member here about parts on other datsuns that are identical to the ones used on the zed. He happen to mention that 120Y door handles are the same as early zeds. Is there a listing of parts anywhere of interchangable parts between different datsuns to the zed. I'm sure the manufacturer used many and such a list could make it easier and cheaper to locate some parts.

Sorry all I remember being similar is that the Ignition Barrels are identical and maybe the handbrake.

I don't know of any lists but have a poke around somewhere like Pick a part they have plenty of junked old Datsuns you can go through them and find out for yourself.

I remember seeing a ZX turbo their once and I couldn't take the engine out at the time still kick myself :(.

yeah sounds like u really missed out on that one. I recently met 'Gee' and he just picked up a 280zx dizzy from 'pick a part' for $30. Well i thought there must be quite a few bits n peices that are identical between the diff cars, like stereo and heater knobs, door handles, barrels etc

Yep, pretty sure winders are same as 120Y, 200B etc etc. I think the same might even be said for the door handles and the open/close mechanism on the inside of the door. Of course you can get boxes/ motors out of 240k's, 260C's etc etc.

Rear strut caps (I believe) are same 260/ 240 blah blah. Don't forget, Nissan raided the parts bin to make these cars, so anything they didn't have to remanufacture they just nicked off other cars...

Maybe we should start a list?
