Posted November 3, 20204 yr comment_609502 Purchased a 300ZX and the security light is on and the car wont turn over. There is a clicking noise. New battery, window and locks operational with use of the key. Fuel pump pushes fuel when key is turned on. Electrical seems good, all typical interior light and exterior lights work except blinkers and head-lights. Tried: Putting up the windows, shut hood, hatch and doors. Locked with the key and waited 30 minutes. Then unlocked with the key - no change. Appreciate any assistance. November 11, 20204 yr Author comment_610096 1988 300Z Theft System continues to be an issue. Down loaded the wire diagram. Weird thing is we can start the car with a push button or old school screw driver. At that point only thing not working are blinkers and flashers. At the starter the yellow wire still does not have power when turning the key to the start position. This is the issue. Tried. ** After each we unhooked the battery to reset the system. 1) Verified hood, doors and hatch were shut. 2) Unhooked the connection under the passenger seat. 3) Removed Resisters: Theft Warning (Starter ) / Theft Warning (H/Lamp) / Clutch inhibiter. 4) Tested power at the relays in front of the battery and all had power. I am sure there is a step we are missing. Appreciate the help.
