I agree on the 182,000.  If I was serious, I would have located someone in the area to have a look at it, and snap some pictures.  Perhaps that is what one or more of the high bidders have done.  Hazard switch is odd in this car.  Anyone know if that is original?  Also, I am a bit confused about the hood.  I thought early cars didn't have the corner reinforcements at the back.  If Zhome.com site registry is a reasonable thing to go by, it seems that green on tan and blue on blue are rarer combinations than others for 70 and 71.  Not going to spend more time looking.  Gotta get it out of my head.

Hazard is out of a 73, 1 year only, could mean the dash was replaced at some point. I missed that in my picture scans. I think the speedo starts at 20 MPH so the gauges should be correct. Later 0 start gauges have 80 at the top where early 20 speedos have 90 at the top. Maybe just the switch was changed but it had a different plug on the back. The hood has the corners, I did see that, could mean the car was wrecked once in its life and had some body parts replaced.

Posting this here at least in part to make sure as many people see it as possible - and keep me from buying it.  I've studied the pics.  Appears to be an original blue on blue car.  Seems to me like those are exceedingly rare.  Mostly complete.  Missing 4 speed trans and air cleaner cover.  Not a lot of rust.  VIN HLS30 02146  $15k so far.

Now this is an interesting one..With the way Z's are selling right now, a EARLY series one like this will be very sought after. I'd expect quite a few "flippers" are rubbing their hands together hoping they can steal this for as little as possible and make some $$ so expect a bit of a bid ware in umm about 19 hours.  Personally, I wish I could afford to bid on this...looks like a fairly clean project to work on. Ive always want a 1st gen early Z..I had a early 71 with alot of the 70 features and really miss it 😞. This will go for probably go for over 20k with the way things have been selling on Bring a Trailer lately.
