Here are the trumpets, originally red plastic - I painted them black to better blend in. The compressor is mounted to the inner fender below the flow control valve. In retrospect, I wish I had mounted it about 4" more forward. I tapped one of the OE horn power wires to drive the compressor - a small red wire zip tied to the wiring bundle going thru the port in the radiator support.

These dents should buff right out and that rust needs a splash or rust inhibitor.

It’s stuff like this that makes me wonder where things are going?  Are cars going up in value that fast or is our money becoming progressively worthless?
We bought a 2021 Suburban one year ago at about 6k under the sticker MSRP.  About 6 weeks ago the dealership called us and said they’d be willing  to offer us MSRP for the car.   When I went online to look at similar vehicles they were goin for at 9k above MSRP.    Someone slap me and wake me up?

And a little Armor All will make that upholstery look as good as new.  😎

We had a whole long conversation about that car earlier.  There's something odd about the BHC.  They collect junk and overprice it.  Here's some old links, if they come through.

Sorry, I must have missed that post.  Looks like nobody has bitten off on it,  FrankenZ for sure.  I did lean something about my collection of parts.  I have so many parts in several bins and now realize I don’t need those rear shock tower caps in  because mine is a 77.  I also have the proper 77 covers.   Zcardepot charges $76 each for those older puppies.

What kind of horns did the rally cars use that made the oscillating two tone sound?

I'm not sure they were all the same, but this example appears to be a Fiamm MCHI Serie 2000 compressor. Horns are indeterminate.

Originally sunshine yellow from the factory.  Sitting outside in a backyard didn't do it any favors...

When your in that town John, take a look and see if it has the 2400 valve cover, buy just that for $200 and give him a spare Nissan OHC one of yours.  Money in the bank.

Sunshine yellow, or Safari Gold? Looks a bit dark for Sunshine, but photos can be deceiving.

most likely a late series 1 if it’s a ‘71. I don’t think the 2400 valve cover would have been there originally.
