Zed Head Posted January 14, 2022 Author Share #1273 Posted January 14, 2022 Isn't it really a resto mod? Resto perfecto maybe. Parts have been replaced with better parts, but they are not original, therefore not resto. Just pretending I'm a car show judge. Anybody know what this thing is... Zed Head Posted January 14, 2022 Author Share #1275 Posted January 14, 2022 This is for AC hoses? Looks like a great job on the car. Good luck.
zspert Posted January 14, 2022 Share #1276 Posted January 14, 2022 I've spent no more than 3 minutes looking at this car and saw numerous mistakes. You have one chance to do it right.

Zed Head Posted January 14, 2022 Author Share #1278 Posted January 14, 2022 I'm not trying to cause trouble. Just talking about an interesting car. Your build thread is too long to search through to find the explanation. It really stands out in the pictures.

Not every day you can buy a 12k mile 240z in really nice condition. I didn't want it so I could show it or drive it though. I thought it was worth a shot to try to get it for a price that would leave room to cover the cost of the work it needs to take it to condition 1 or 2 level and then sell it for a profit. That car is most likely going to be a trailer queen (or stored in someone's private collection) from now on anyway. I was thinking of bidding again just before pwest and steamboatenthusiast hit the gas. Oh well. Johnz1971 Posted January 14, 2022 Share #1281 Posted January 14, 2022 I'll bet all the 'behind the scenes' negotiations on that RNM 98k 240z ceased when they saw CW's 240z pop up.

I’m amazed at the RNM finish for that car. BaT drives a tough negotiating for reserves

So 70k or there abouts is the price people are willing to pull the trigger very quickly. After that its just sitting. No doubt its going to go way over this, but I find it interesting that it stopped for the most part at 70k. I'm guessing its like ebay, the last bidder may have 130K or whatever on his bid. So people with the financial ability to pay for cars whether olds Z's or a GTO, have knowledge, research, or gut instinct to go a to a certain level ($) and then just wait and see? What I'm getting at is, why would it go to $70k in a few hours then stop? People who would buy this car even at $70 I would have to assume that they have a disposable income to be able to afford a 70k car that is an extraneous expense. Does anyone want to speculate on what the car may sell for?
