Presenter Drew Pritchard is something of a running joke over here, and this 'Salvage Hunters Classic Cars' series is a spin-off from his antiques & collectables-based 'Salvage Hunters' shows.

He usually doesn't have the first clue what he's talking about, makes some inexplicable decisions (like the totally unnecessary metal 280Z emblem manufacture) and the cars often turn out to be All Fur Coat And No Knickers...

Is this common on the 240s? It's my first time seeing what appears to be a heat shield under the fuel pump? Curious mind asking. Thanks for any replies.

Kinda looks like a fan blade on the radiator fan - odd pic.

My money is on the series-one fan blades versus a heat shield.

Looks like one of my reproduction voltage reg covers. Missing are the rad overflow hose, Anti-Freese and Nihon Rad decals.

I can't imagine they came from the factory with the whole underside and wheel wells into the same color as the body ?

If you had taken a look at the pics (open the +155 pic picture..) you would have seen the paintshop with all the parts new painted.. does someone say that it's original paint? 😁

I know it's been re-painted Mart, I just find it crazy someone is willing to pay 70k for something that isn't correct or close as it came from the factory. I never saw any car from that era with wheel wells and the whole underside painted in the body color.  It does so on modern cars. I see a trend last years that people do that when restoring a classic, and I just think it looks ridiculous. It may be nice if you have a fetish for shiny underside parts.

 You never saw the undersize of a Z painted the same color?? What color do you think they were painted? If you scrap off the dealer applied under coating your in for a surprise.
