What are these rubber things in low middle of the pic called then, I honestly ask because i don't know.. (No idea what you mean with doorjamb rubbers i think these are the doorjamb rubbers..??)

When i see someone laying a (assembled) head this way... i know how good of a technician he is.... 😟

Yes, that is what he is talking about . They are there to cushion the door from hitting the jamb.

And the Z currently at auction has one on the driver’s side, but the passenger side one is missing.

Certainly a small oversight on the part of the seller, something which would require little effort and expense, but may keep more serious bidders away.

I saw that too. Easy way to bend valves.

I made a stand for L series cylinder heads. A simple affair, bolts to each end of the head and allows for the head to be positioned for chamber and port work, then assembly and initial valve adjustment.

 

 

 

Maybe a "tech" but certainly not a mechanic

The vinyl interior work, especially the seats, is horrible.  

I learned long, long ago that the quality of the work coming out of a shop is equal to the condition of the shop - messy shop=messy work

When you have a shop that does it for a living, absolutely yes.. if you have a fan.. a bit less i think.. but your in the ballpark 😉 

(  OH oef..  ....  I have to clean up my workplace PRONTO !! 🤣🤣 )

 

(I'm disabled for 20+ years now and that's my excuse.... sorry but cleaning is my last worry.)
