Instances of people feeling the need to coin the term "Series 1.5" only serve to demonstrate what a confected nonsense the whole "Series 1", "Series 2" thing is.

The Series is S30

I agree. Changes went slowly throughout production. Maybe people started calling the ones with the 240z emblems on the rear pillar and the vented rear hatch series 1 ...

I am not at all current on 240Z values in the Netherlands nor most of Europe - however I do know that Chris Visscher at S30 World on Facebook - has spent a small fortune restoring several 240Z’s. I’m sure he expects to get at least $150K+ for the cars they complete.  The war in Europe may put a serious damper on the economy, which in turn will lower all Classic Car values for some time… nonetheless the 240Z’s are relatively inexpensive as 50+ year old classic Sports Cars go.

I dont know what the reason might be, but the 240Z is much more known in the US, hence prices people are willing to pay for them.

That looks like a great buy even with just three pictures.  Maybe @Racer X needs one more for his collection.

That's a classic Edelbrock filter.

I’m trying to thin the herd, so not likely.

Besides, Mrs. Racer would have a fit if I were to drag another car home.

Let Ollie Naugle have it.

Wrecked '78. Looks like it just costs a few beers.

From the ad:

1978 dstsun 280z, it was t-boned a few years back ......

Looks more like the car rear ended another, or was driven into a ditch.

I think the seller is confused.
