Looks like it might be a very nice 240Z - and with more/better pictures and an owner willing to answer questions - on BAT it might bring bids over $40K today.  However on Hagerty Auction, a potential buyer just isn’t going to get enough information to risk much more than $30K.  We’ll see how it goes...
 
The diamond vinyl on the trans tunnel and rear shock towers is a wrinkled mess.

It seems that all the replacement interior diamond vinyl I see installed is like that.

Are all the kits really that bad? That is a no go for me.

I think it has something to do with the installation. Done right it shouldn’t look any different than when the original trim was installed.

Currently there is only one manufacturer of the diamond pattern trim. The company is Distinctive Industries in CA.  While their product is of very high quality it takes a skilled hand to achieve a good look, especially when it comes to the rear strut towers and rear wheel arches.
