December 11, 20231 yr comment_660127 This one has potential to be a nice driver, you would have to strip off the 80s style bumpers and side skirts and try and match the paint. Has a dash cap rather than the replacement dash as the description says but otherwise it is nice shape. The seller says he purchased from Barrett Jackson so he probably paid more than he should have but I'm thinking BaT agreed to about a $15,000 reserve. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-datsun-240z-300/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64671-zs-on-bat-and-other-places-collection/?&page=199#findComment-660127 Share on other sites

December 14, 20231 yr comment_660189 I found my Z's twin! Same color and everything, just built 4 months earlier: No Reserve: 1976 Datsun 280Z 2+2 4-Speed for sale on BaT Auctions - ending December 20 (Lot #131,317) | Bring a Trailer It will be interesting to see how much it sells for, and I wonder what those floors look like under that carpet? December 16, 20231 yr Author comment_660234 Here's a good basic 280Z for somebody that wants to get in to the Z world and drive one without spending too much. Lots of nickels and dimes waiting to be spent but it should be pretty easy to get back in to good running shape. Might even make a good "will it run and drive XX miles" video. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1978-datsun-280z-158/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64671-zs-on-bat-and-other-places-collection/?&page=199#findComment-660234 Share on other sites
December 16, 20231 yr comment_660243 I'm confident my unsolicited advice will go in one ear and out the other but the new owner would be wise to start the operation with an S30 World reproduction fuel tank. December 16, 20231 yr comment_660244 I 100% agree. Repaired my original tank twice. Total waste of time. Bought the S30 tank. Fantastic reproduction.
