September 20, 20222 yr comment_645612 Talk about a crazy market! A 914-6 like mine, painted an admittedly nice Toyota color (Voodoo Blue) just sold for $170K on BAT. I don’t dare tell my wife, or this will be gone! That one has parts that are not supposed to be in use yet. Any chance somebody just wanted the "improved" parts and had them switched later? You know, I bought my first Z in the 1980's while in my 20's, for $700 from a Dr. in Whittier CA, the car was probably 15 years old at the time, a good looking & running driver in green, but a bit aged of course, and it was quite common and i'm sure it still is, when your young and poor, to hit the self service junk yards for what you need on the weekends , and that being said, I recall going quite often and having a "list" of things I needed in my head but when you got to pick a part, and started walking around you might very well find a "new" Z in the lot with almost everything still on it and start "drooling" over what you could and did get. I might be going in for this or that but remember hey! my seat belt was frayed, and grab some new ones off the new Z in the yard...even though I was just looking for a grill or whatever that day...THIS might just be the case in Zspert's car... September 29, 20222 yr comment_645883 I see recent auctions for S30s have not been drawing the big numbers we saw over the past year or so. But today a low mile 300ZX twin turbo hammered at $95,000. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-70/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64671-zs-on-bat-and-other-places-collection/?&page=151#findComment-645883 Share on other sites

I wonder would a nice 55k miles (he's at 88555km last week.) euro version bring that too as these are also less made in euro version i mean? At the carwash.. Complete history, like 4th battery or so but original everything haha and also the exhaust!!. never driven in winter, i can prove this by all the registrations at our RDW!! if you look at it's reg. number you'll see all the winters since he was 5 yrs (in garage Nissan for 5 years..) For example the aircon or climate control is never refilled and never had a defect! It still works perfect after 30! years.. howcome? i start the car every 4-6 weeks!! VERY important for oil and for the clim.control!!!! (I can not emphasize how important this is!) Many papers with this car but few repairbills.. this car costed 173000 guilders in 1992.... pff it took about 5 years to sell in the netherlands haha.. for the same money you had a Porsche turbo.. so funny.. this i like more! Don't want no porsche on my drive! At his summer spot.. This one i have seen earlyer.. September 29, 20222 yr Author comment_645912 Check out this 66,000 mile beater. Doesn't even have the original drivetrain. There is a lot of free cash floating around out there looking for a new home. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1969-dodge-daytona-2/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64671-zs-on-bat-and-other-places-collection/?&page=151#findComment-645912 Share on other sites

I've been offered a lot of money for it but i keep it for another year i think.. (much more than i bought it for, 15 years ago, this is a good way to drive a beautiful car (to a sertain limit) and let the next owner pay for your runningcosts as well... oeps! This kind of hobby brings.. at the moment.. much more than the interest on savings. (is at the moment about 0%!)
