I think it's the paint. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-datsun-240z-210/ Its done nicely, although I see some points . Front bumper could have been lined up better with the buckets. Shiney underside is nice, but don't drive that in colder states, rust within a year assured Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64671-zs-on-bat-and-other-places-collection/?&page=161#findComment-647159 Share on other sites

November 11, 20222 yr comment_647172 I envy you guys who have access to salvage yards that contain older cars. Around the greater DC area real estate is just too expensive. The local yards rarely have anything older than 2010 or so. I'd be happy to swap a $500 ZX for a well equipped staff of knowledgable doctors at my local hospital. Edit: I just found out some bad news about a beautiful 35 year old mom. Sorry but I'm devastated and you guys are my vent. VIN on green car is in the range of cars that had 240z quarter emblems. Each car has oddities. But, it looks to me like the owner was knowledgeable. You're right, people do move that fast, wouldn't be a surprise. I did go down today, As it turns out the entire lower yard is closed and cleared of all cars. All the available cars (70 of them) are up on the hill just right of the office. I ran into Matt, the guy who bought the big brakes there, he was getting a 6sp transmission out of a BMW for a 510 car he has. (yellow car behind the Z) I picked a number of things until my wallet said stop. Here is what it looked like when I got there. A shame to see it parted out. From reviewing the brief video, that car looks to be one of the nicest restored 240s I've seen. $41k is a killer deal.
