Am.. i.. gonna say... something about it...

I don't think they did a good job.. the damper is to long and had to be installed on a angle and... and.. now it hits the bottom of the car..  (at least it looks like it's on a angle?)

Does the exhaust not make a clunking noise against the reserve wheel thingy... whatever it's called.. ?  🙄

Your car has become a beautyful car and now there is a crummy exhaust under there..(sorry again but i took a day and ask myself if i had to say this and yes......   i sayd it.. 🙊)

Fisheye lens has the rear muffler angle distorted, was the only way I could capture the whole system under the lift.

In "normal" perspective, it is perfectly parallel to the chassis. Muffler is also an excellent copy of the original, in OD and length.

Reverse wheel thingy - perhaps the spare wheel well? There's a good 3/4" - 1" gap between the muffler and spare wheel well. No hard contacts at all.

Yeah.. i asked myself.. if thats the case, but then the beam just over the muffler in the chassis should also have been parallel to the muffler?

O Well anyway... your totally happy with it and thats the important thing!   It has become a beautiful car!

One of the reasons that i'm here is i learn some english... (I hope!!)  do i see that right/correct? It says: "Dealer to whom delievered" ?  ... that must be wrong hey?

(Just under the black DATSUN on red..)

But don't worry i find your work fantastic!  Very nice, AND you know it.. it's in the details!!  Again, it's a beauty! 👍  👏

I could definitely see that being confusing to someone who’s first language wasn’t English.

Don’t worry, I work with several people where Dutch is their first language. You guys have it all twisted up! 😁

Few updates over the weekend. Buttoned up some loose ends and got to drive the Z for the first time. Pretty cool to have it move under its own power after being dormant for 31 years. Feels very crisp and tight.

Got all but the transmission diamond vinyl installed, and headliner. Ill get some photos of that. I did remember to snap a picture of the jute material for the transmission tunnel. Was able to use the originals as a template to make two new pieces.

Tires also mounted to the original steelies, I need to get a full vehicle shot with them.

I think I would stain, paint or use some other method to color the juke to match the original color. The only thing that stands out as missing the original look. Just my two cents worth.

Good eye, I wonder what the original color was to the jute? Curious how much 50 years of living under carpet and vinyl affected the color of it. Similar to how nearly every plastic piece turns yellow or opaque on these cars over time.

As to original color……I think the original color was probably about the same as what it is today……should be fairly easy to dye or spray to match. You did a beautiful job of cutting your replacement. If it were the color of the original jute, it would fit right in with all the other items that you have brought back to original status. Now, put a set of 7 inch Panasports, a front and a rear spoiler and a noisy exhaust system and go drive it! A really nice resoration….congrats!!

Looks good with that lighting.  Are you putting it up for sale soon?

Thank you. Yes, once the professional photos and videos are complete I’ll work on the listing. Most likely I’ll be going with BaT, have had great success with them in the past.

Always hate to see these cars go but each one funds the next build. Can’t keep them all unfortunately.
