On the Walbro - people get that pump sometimes because they need the rate or sometimes because it's the cool pump to have.  But it flows twice what the stock pump flows and often makes noise because it can't pull that rate through the inlet side.

Walbro 255 LPH = 67 GPH

 I think that the stock pump and the typical aftermarket pumps flow about 30 GPH.

Walbro probably makes a good product.  Stock motor people should be looking at the GSL393 though, not the 392.  It's even pretty cheap.  If you like Walbro quality that would be a good one maybe.  I don't know much about Walbro myself.  Go to the last link and you can see that they have a pretty good checkout procedure.  You can get barbs and filters to fit from the start.  Looks pretty good.

While I wait for the pump, there is absolutely no clutch pressure in the car. I’ll be starting to diagnose that I’m guessing it’s the master slave or link. 
 

if it is the slave what brand do you think is good to replace it with

Hmm good point I’m going to go with walbro. The brand is well known idc about sound.. just want something that will last..

realmazdaparts.com has an OEM Mazda fuel pump for $87.86. Part #887-13-400B. Some Z owners in the past have used these with good results. I can verify that the elec.fuel pump on our 81 RX7 is virtually silent.

Isn't that a carb pump?  He has EFI.  Edit - I don't know the later Mazda's, or early either actually.  Can't find specs on that pump.

You are correct, @Zed Head. The Mazda pump is for carburetors. I think the first fuel injected RX-7 was the GSL-SE trim. That was not offered for the 81 RX-7.

@280zdude, I am running a Walbro 395, but I have a GM TBI system in my car. So far, I've run it over a year with no problems.

Bosch probably makes good quality.  Hard to say these days.  But that pump doesn't have barbs for the hoses, it's made for Ford fuel lines.  You want barbs on the high pressure side. I think the threaded end is outlet so you could probably find one.

The Walbro site offers free shipping, after you pick exactly what fittings you want and a filter.  You get the complete package.  If I was looking for a new pump I'd probably go that route, plus SteveJ is using one and likes it.  But, really, your biggest issue is probably going to be the waiting.  Shipping will be slow, especially now, if the USPS gets involved.  If you want to get going soon, you'll probably end up at a parts store.

Where did you find the inlet and outlet info for the Bosch. I was trying to find that and just took a guess due to similar shape and size..

This fuel pump looks like it will work. I looked at a diagram for Porsche 911 and they have the same flow direction. 
 

I did read some people using FD RX7 pumps but it gets confusing between fuel injected, suction, gravity fed, psi, and lph.
The biggest concern I have is going to high of a flow rate or psi. With so many unknowns on the car I want to keep it close to stock hoping I won’t need to change fuel dampeners or fuel regulators.. 

The rubber lines leading to the tank and from the filter to the injectors were blocked off.. so who know what rusted and dry rotted in them.
