Posted December 24, 20204 yr comment_613179 Any insulation that can be added to the diff cutout area to stop the rattle? My exhaust is tucked up really high and is banging around. This pic is not my exhaust but just showing the area. December 24, 20204 yr comment_613182 Mine had the same. Took it to an exhaust shop, he made a couple of spot welds for $25 and no more clatter. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64894-78-280z-exhaust-rattle/#findComment-613182 Share on other sites

December 24, 20204 yr comment_613211 Yeah, I guess he did. I sat in the waiting area. It was the MSA kit I installed myself and the hangers are half rubber and half metal. It was the one under the driver's seat and the very end where it comes out the cut out of the painted rear. That hole is so much smaller than the 2.5" system I have it needed to be solid, unmovable. Good luck with yours. So much smaller for the OE pipe I meant to say.
