Those little fuc… always break in half when i try to pop them in….i have given up on them…

Got the gas tank out of the 72 yesterday. Looks real good inside, only a tiny bit of surface rust inside, the outside is covered in a thick layer of undercoating. Now for cleaning and preparing for reinstalling.

Nice combo! How's the road performance of your tires?  I will upgrade my wheels and tires soon, and the BFG is one of my choices.

Don’t know yet, I still need to mount and balance them.

Oh, then there is all the other pesky stuff.

Like a fresh engine.

New Stainless brake and fuel lines.

Refurb the fuel tank, and replace all the fuel hoses with ethanol compatible hose.

And a few other minute details.

Leaking slave cylinder replaced so now i have a clutch again, and finally found the time to paint a valve cover I’ve had laying on the shelf for years.

Japdays at Mantorp Park coming up this weekend so need to get some things sorted during this week.

Finally got a taste of fall weather and got the old girl out of the house/garage. Didn't want to leave, breaks were stuck but more rpm and out it came. Topped off the tank with 93 octane and hit Country Club Hills. It rolls now by just just sticking my left leg on the ground and pressing foward. Yea for me!

Tomorrow we're going for some distance driving. Maybe wash it 1st but it's remarkably shiny with the nylon panties type cover I bought. Fits really tight all the way to the ground.

Good day in my book. So now it's time to get bad.

Just did the wire around my cracked horn button. It was a little more trouble than I thought but it's tight and "clicked" in place. It won't fall off again no matter the pot hole.

Thank you for showing me that everytime I brought it up. It only took 5 years @jfa.series1.
