January 19, 20214 yr comment_614707 What would a 1970 Z with a vin number under 1000 be worth, assuming its intact and mostly original? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64949-another-ebay-car/?&page=2#findComment-614707 Share on other sites

Really depends on rust and originality. I'm curios how this one does. https://www.ebay.com/itm/164641753361 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64949-another-ebay-car/?&page=2#findComment-614709 Share on other sites
January 19, 20214 yr comment_614712 So this harmony dude relists the car at nearly double what he had it listed for earlier. And I see Beverly Hills has another Midwestern rustbucket up. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Datsun-240Z/224281422502?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20160727114228&meid=022f1e61ba51438cb951e7149c339691&pid=100290&rk=2&rkt=4&sd=164649789199&itm=224281422502&pmt=0&noa=1&pg=2060778&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507&redirect=mobile Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64949-another-ebay-car/?&page=2#findComment-614712 Share on other sites

All of the regular areas of bad rust seem to be clean, just some panel work, etc. Rails and floors are actually solid. You can clearly see overspray and paint flaking around the door jamb tag. Given what we have seen from "Beverly Hills" lately, I hope people look for another car. I was looking over the ebay ad last night and noticed the "unrestored" description, so I thought I would feel the guy out, I asked him how he could call the car unrestored with the floor pans replaced, a second paint job, new seat covers and a dash cap. I also asked wasn't he afraid of litigation from an unsuspecting buyer, Here is his reply, Lol... ok I’ve only sold 100 of these cars on eBay to happy buyers all over the world with 100% feedback... but you could be right... or ... regular maintenance and upkeep on a 50 year old car which is fully described is normal and NOT what real collectors think is restoration... but yea thanks for the advice... litigation 🤦🏻♂️😂 ... -harmony01 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/64949-another-ebay-car/?&page=2#findComment-614725 Share on other sites

Interesting, did these "original California" cars really have the non-pollution balance tube on the carbs?
