February 14, 20214 yr comment_616129 If I remember right I took a small screwdriver and tapped that key keeper loose and mine came off fairly easy. Don't hit the pulley with a steel hammer from behind. You could use rubber but be gentle. Those things break on the thinner sides where the belt rides. Good luck. February 14, 20214 yr comment_616131 Or maybe I pried it off with piece off wood between the front cover and the pulley. I can't remember but that sounds more doable now that I think about it. February 15, 20214 yr Author comment_616170 got it. after research looks like it does need a damper pulley, not a big deal. however, even with that what i read it its likely to break. If anyone has a 70-72 harmonic balancer to sell or knows a place thats sells them reasonable please message me. thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65063-crankshaft-wrench-type/?&page=3#findComment-616170 Share on other sites

There is a guy in Oregon who rebuilds damper pulleys, send it to him, he rebuilds it and sends it back. Ollie Naugle in Snohomish, Washington had a ton of S30 parts and sells dampers. Rebello in California has a line of aftermarket pulleys, all new with no core required,   Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65063-crankshaft-wrench-type/?&page=3#findComment-616171 Share on other sites
