Need a big favor. My hatch has had the holes for both hatch emblems filled in. Not sure why. Before i start painting it i need to know where the holes should be. Does anyone have a diagram with measurements or can someone take a photo of theres with measurements from right side of hatch and bottom of hatch so i will have a good est. of where to put holes? much appreciated. if  matters is 1971 240z series 2

last what are small recessed things that hold in emblems. some kinda clips

not sure, possibly. i went and looked at the hatch a minute ago (its all at my painters). even looking from the inside i cant see or feel where the holes were originally. So, i will most likely need to re-drill them.

Wally,

We have a '71 series 2 car coming in. It is also missing the hatch emblems. I can take pictures and messurements for you when it arrives. Will this car give you what you need? Is series 1 and series 2 different?

It may have had a spoiler sometime in it's life. Mine does and the holes are filled in, emblems are mounted on the spoiler.

I'm pretty sure they are the same for series 1 and 2, here are measurements from my 1970. The datum for measurement is the lower right corner of hatch. The bottom edge of the hatch is curved so instead of the that edge I drew a line at right angle to the right edge for the vertical dimensions. I hope that makes sense.
