Posted May 15, 20213 yr comment_621612 Hi guys! What is the size of the hose from the fuel tank to the fuel pump on a 1977 280z? The fuel line got a small tear and I decided to replace it. I read on the forum that this line is a 12mm line rather than the normal 5/16, but the 12mm line doesn’t fit. The hose is somewhat snug on the fuel pump, but is very loose on the gas tank outlet and I can’t fit the hose through the cutout in the bulkhead. Thoughts? May 15, 20213 yr comment_621625 I'm running an aftermarket bosch pump. When I changed the pump I found a split in that fuel hose and changed it. It was a pita getting it out of the bulkhead. In the bulkhead is a ribbed rubber insulator to protect the hose from rubbing through. The insulatorhas ribs on the inside where it contacts the hose. I couldn't get it back in with the hose, so I used a thin piece of closed cell foam and glued it to the hose at the section that goes through the bulkhead. The insulator has Position H. Nr. 23 in the parts list. It has been NLA for years. https://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978/engine-280z/fuel-piping/23 Edited May 15, 20213 yr by EuroDat Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65384-280z-fuel-hose-from-tank-to-pump/#findComment-621625 Share on other sites
