June 11, 200321 yr Author comment_40585 Thank you all for the great response! It sounds like the f54 block with the n42 head is the go(ive got a n42 complete motor). But what models did the f54 come out in australia? Or would it be cheaper to put flattops pistons into my n42 block? June 11, 200321 yr comment_40593 Thank you Gav. I have read that site many times, this is one of the resources which lead me to the P90 head. I have been fairly confident in that decision until I began seeing many people here talk about the N42 or E88 being better to use. June 11, 200321 yr comment_40597 Not a problem the topic of which head is best is a hot debate in the Z car world. You'll get many opinions but generally most agree the P90 head flows best. I have a friend with an N42 head on his turbo L28 he's getting 200+ kw at the rear wheels so it just proves that there all capable of big numbers with money.Cheers.
