Yeah but not as much fun and  sureI wouldn't get that for $4,600

The problem with the S54 transplant is the harnesses probably don't match model to model. I saw an M roadster run the other day for $7,100. Although that might be a fluke. $10-12 is probably more like it. Just remember the M roadster hood is eye watering expensive!!

The paint is in amazingly good condition , only a couple small scrapes on the back bumper and almost no swirl marks! Just went on a road trip thru BC and it ran almost flawlessly! The top stopped working in Penticton. Research indicates probably a micro switch problem...

You might want to look at relocating the pump to the trunk. The pump on the Z4 lives in a fish bowl. Also there is a mustang pump that can be used in lieu of the BMW pump. Its cheaper and faster

Thanks Patcon! I checked the drain on the well where pump is located and it's clear, no water. The light is Amber when i try to open the roof. I found a forum which said that indicates fuse or micro switch, if it's the pump, light would be red. Does that fit with your experience?

The big questions on these Z's... Can you fit your luggage and 2 sets of golf clubs and a passenger in either the Z3 or Z4? 😁 No problem in my 240Z. I personally think the Z3 is better looking that the Z4.

Not truly fair, apples to oranges.

Now if you compare a Z4 coupe then the answer is probably yes. Plus you dont need to adjust the jets at the continental divide, pull the choke or huff exhaust fumes. But I still like my 240s

Both my 73 240 and 71 240 have been back and forth across the divide from SLC, Utah to Denver, Colorado without ever touching the tune and they run just fine. The most fun is taking a SLC car down to California and it runs like what feels like a scalded dog! Fumes are minimal.
