Found under PS seat - Seat belt warning?

I found this under my passenger seat in my 73 240z. Is this part of the seat belt warning system? If so how do you I reconnect it if I choose to.

Yes I believe that is just a switch that closes when you sit on it. I've seen them under the seat cushion.
