bhermes Posted July 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2021 OK, so I am wrapping up getting the 76z ready for sale. Obviously taking my time to part ways. I am installing my fuel injector / railing and one of the plastic injector holders broke. I am pretty sure that all of the parts including the injectors were original. I am having trouble locating the proper part to purchase. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
siteunseen Posted July 15, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2021 (edited) These are $6.99 plus shipping. You might find them cheaper on Ebay. Good luck and I hope she sales quick too. https://zcardepot.com/products/fuel-injector-base-holder-trigger-280z-280zx-75-83?variant=19274253729905¤cy=USD&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=google+shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6NSWrejl8QIV8QaICR2uBQ08EAQYASABEgK6f_D_BwE Edited July 15, 2021 by siteunseen
Zed Head Posted July 15, 2021 Share #3 Posted July 15, 2021 (edited) And MSA. https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/11-3491 Rockauto. I'll bet your local auto parts store might even have them. NAPA maybe. Give them the Standard part number and they can cross-ref. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,1976,280z,2.8l+l6,1209226,fuel+&+air,fuel+injector+seal+/+o-ring,13679 Edited July 15, 2021 by Zed Head
gwri8 Posted July 15, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 15, 2021 I believe the original fuel injector holders were a 2 piece metal item, steel ring and an aluminum mounting block. The plastic ones work fine but are easy to crack and break with too much torque when mounting them.
bhermes Posted July 15, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted July 15, 2021 Thanks to everyone for such a quick response. I did not notice the additional responses and have already ordered the ones from zcardepot.
siteunseen Posted July 15, 2021 Share #6 Posted July 15, 2021 I rember the plastic and the metal hold down piece. The zcardepot ones hopefully come with the rubber O-rings. You can use the old ones just be careful removing them from the old injectors. Try spinning them loose while they're still on instead of prying them off with a screwdriver.
